At the early age of 10 that mysterious object with the fascinating click had already allured me. It was a 40 year old, dusty reflex that had been abandoned in a household wardrobe. It was love at first sight. Time passed and on the completion of my artistic studies I began working and travelling, where I expressed my artistic flair through painting, photography and video. What captured my attention the most was the power of the stolen or planned image with which I could capture the moment. Soon after, I set up a basic dark room and learnt to develop film: roll after roll, I spent hour after hour in this magical place bringing to lightmy images of photo features and still life. My growing passion for photography was officially recognised in a series of awards in national and international contests, culminated with entry into the selection for exhibiting at the prestigious Agora Gallery of New York. And this was when I really began to “put into focus” my professional path. I photograph in the fashion and furniture industry as well as commercial and publishing industries. The dream of a young boy playing around with an old reflex has come true. This passion has been transformed into the greatest job in the world.
